The aim of this course is to prepare learners to work as home-based childcarers/childminders.  As well as learning relevant aspects of childcare, this knowledge based unit supports the development of policies and procedures  important to registration and the basic business skills to set up a home-based childcare service

The course runs 9.30am - 4pm daily and involves your commitment to homework and building a portfolio.  Your Portfolio will be assessed.

Successful assessment of this course will result in you achieving Unit Number: CYPOP 5 which is one optional Unit of the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce.
