DCMA offer training, advice, support and information to members; registered childminders, parents of minded children and anyone else interested in childminding.

Mission statement  

 “To promote quality childcare and education facilities by providing high quality training, information, advice and support for childcare practitioners, publishing research and promoting good standards”.

The core values which underpin our mission include a belief that:

• providing advice, information, support and will help empower individuals to achieve quality standards;
• supporting, encouraging relevant research and publishing those findings will assist promoting good standards;
• achieving high professional standards and providing a supportive work environment for staff and volunteers are key factors in delivering an effective service;
• promoting ethical behaviour; equal opportunities, challenging and eliminating discrimination, celebrating and valuing diversity are essential in achieving our mission.
